Mikototo will not make automated decisions that significantly affect you based solely on personal data, without appropriate human involvement.

4Disclosure to Third Parties

Mikototo does not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for unrelated marketing or commercial purposes. However, there are specific situations where we need to share your data with other parties to enable us to deliver complete services and meet our legal obligations.

  • Payment providers: DuitNow, FPX, Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, and GrabPay — to securely process your financial transactions. These providers maintain their own privacy policies and security standards, which we ensure are on par with our own.
  • Technology service provider: Companies providing server infrastructure, authentication systems, security monitoring software, and platform analytics tools — all bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Third-party game providers: Companies such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, and other game providers whose software is used on the Mikototo platform.
  • Authorities & law enforcement: When required by Malaysian law, court order, or official request from a competent enforcement agency.

Fraud Warning: mikototo never shares members' personal information with other companies for sales or marketing purposes without consent. If you receive an offer or call from a party claiming to be associated with mikototo but you have never registered with them, please report it to us immediately.

5Data Security

Mikototo employs a multi-layered security framework designed to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, damage or disclosure. The key security measures we implement include:

  • 256-bit SSL Encryption: All data in transit is protected using the latest TLS/SSL protocols, ensuring no third party can intercept communications between you and our servers.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): An additional security layer requiring verification via SMS or an authenticator app each time you log in from a new device.
  • 24/7 Monitoring: A continuous security monitoring system capable of detecting and responding to cyber threats in real time.
  • Internal access controls: Only specifically authorised staff may access member personal data, and every access is recorded in a tamper-proof audit log.
  • Regular security testing: Our platform undergoes penetration testing and security audits by independent third parties at least twice a year.
  • PCI DSS Standards: All card and payment data processing complies with the strictest Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

While we implement all reasonable security measures, no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure. We encourage you to play your part in protecting your account by using a strong password, enabling 2FA, and never sharing your login credentials with anyone.

6Data Retention Period

Mikototo retains your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the original purpose of collection or as required by applicable Malaysian law. The following are our data retention guidelines:

  • Active account data: Retained for the duration that your account is active and in use on the mikototo platform.
  • Data after account closure: After account closure, core data such as name, identification number, and transaction history is retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to meet Malaysia's financial legislation and AMLA requirements.
  • KYC Data: Identity verification documents are retained for the period stipulated by regulatory authorities, typically no less than five (5) years after the business relationship ends.
  • Communication logs: Customer support interaction records are retained for three (3) years for reference and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Marketing data: Communication preference data is retained until you withdraw consent or request deletion, whichever comes first.

Once the retention period expires, your data will be securely deleted using methods that ensure it cannot be recovered or accessed again by any party.
